~Tasty Tuesday 1/10/17~

Guess what day it is! That's right Tasty Tuesday!

Today I have some crockpot chili! I was somewhat skeptical at first because, I've only made this one other time before but forgot how. I could never remember how my grandma made hers so I kind of jus made up my own and to my surprise it turned out pretty good! Even the baby ate it!

So to get started you'll need a crockpot and the following ingredients:

*1 can of Tomato paste

*1 can of Tomato sauce

*1 can of diced tomatoes

*2 cans of kidney beans

*2 beef bouillon cubes

*2 bay leaves

*Onion

*Ground cumin

*Chili powder

*Onion salt

*Garlic powder

*Meat of your choice

A little secret...This was only supposed to be a 5 ingredient recipe..oops!

I didn't have any fresh onion so I used my dried chopped onion, not the same but it worked and my meat of choice was hamburger.

I cooked my meat and put everything in the crockpot then added the meat last.

Then I just mixed it all up and turned it on. Now, don't do what I did, which was start it on high and not realize it until later..again oops! I would recommend low for maybe 4-5 hours or so. And because I started mine on high it was a little on the dry side so I added another can of Tomato sauce and it was okay.

Finished

Just garnish with your favorite toppings and enjoy! We did cheese and sour cream and of course can't forget the corn bread!

~Tasty Tuesday 1/3/2017~

It's the beginning of the year and what a better way to start it off with something yummy! This sweet little dessert would also be good for any Valentine's Day get togethers! I made this for my daughters 5th birthday party and man let me tell you everybody loved it! I've now been asked to make it for every family get together along with my tater salad, which I'll share that another time :)

So here it is! When I found it, it was named "strawberry banana cheesecake salad." That's to long for me to say every time so I just went with "the fluff stuff", but please call it whatever you'd like.

What you need:
*3-4bananas (I use 4) cut up
*1-2 packages of strawberries (I use 2) cut up
*1 pack of cheesecake flavoring
*1 tub of cool whip
*2 cups of vanilla flavored yogurt
*1 bag of mini marshmallows
*3-4 graham crackers (more or less for your taste)

This is so easy! You just put everything, except the graham crackers, in a bowl and mix it. Save some strawberries and bananas for the topping, and when everything is all mixed up cut up some of the strawberries and bananas and put them on top, then take the graham crackers and crush them up and put them on last. Easy peasy!

I like to start with the marshmallows first and the fruit last, but you can do it how ever you want.

Done!

I can't believe how easy this is and how yummy it is! However the shelf life isn't very long :( maybe a day or two. The bananas start to turn brown and mushy and it starts to get a little sticky. I was sad when I had to toss the leftovers.

Heyyy..

Wow! So it's really been close to a year since I've been on here. I can't believe it! I can't wait to start my blog up again. I kind of just got lost in life. 2016 was just a pretty much laid back kind of year. To be honest, I am somewhat disappointed in myself. I haven't accomplished a lot of the goals I set for myself, I kind of just lost myself for awhile there. For 2017, I want to work on finding myself again and doing what makes me happy. I have started crafting and making things again, I will share my work later once I finish setting up my page for it, I also want to start a new 101 goals, and since today is the first day of the new year, I will start today. I will post my goal list soon, and if you do not know what the 102 goals are you can read about it here. Well lets catch up, my oldest, Zariah, just turned 13! (OMG!! Really!?), my middle, Isaiah, turned 9 back in May, my second middle, Layla just turned 5, and my littlest, Miss Tatiana, is currently 20months. Layla has finally started pre-k, even though she is ready for kindergarten, she can't start until the next school year because her birthday is after the cut off date :/. She absolutely loves going to school though! Isaiah is in fourth grade now and is doing really well. It amazes me how smart he really is. Zariah is in 7th and doing okay, she unfortunately got jumped at her new school, but we pulled through that and everything is going good so far. I am going to try to keep up on my blogging and try to post a lot more from now on!
